The BackStitch is a full service quilting and cross stitch shop located in historic downtown Elkader in Northeast Iowa, only minutes away from the beautiful Mississippi River.  We offer the finest quilting materials with over 4,000 bolts of cotton fabrics, quilting patterns, books, notions, and a variety of sewing classes suited for the beginner to the advanced.

 

We are also home to one of the largest collections of cross stitch graphs, fabrics and fibers in the area.
